The story behind GranataPet: A man, a Labrador and a pomegranate - these were the ingredients for GranataPet's recipe for success. Founder and CEO Markus Fuchsenthaler swapped his jacket for the kitchen apron 15 years ago to free his dog Cira from her allergic symptoms. As standard commercial foods could not help the dog, her master rolled up his sleeves and dealt extensively with the subject of dog nutrition.
In the process, he discovered a fruit that contained the solution: the pomegranate, today the trademark and name giver of the GranataPet brand. The red fruit contains particularly high levels of ellagic acid, a natural antioxidant and effective cell protection agent.
